A lilac wool coat made from high-quality Italian Loden fabric, inspired by Kandinsky. Warm, breathable and cut to fit the dachshund's unique shape.

Care

Let the Loden fabric clean itself by brushing off dirt, just letting it dry when wet or simply hang it out in the fresh air to get rid of smells. We do not recommend to wash the coat. Trust us, hunters are treating all their clothes like this for ages already!

We size by dachshund type and weight, not by tape measure. Measuring a wriggly dachshund is surprisingly tricky, and in our experience that's where most sizing mistakes happen. Type and weight are far more reliable.

48 XL is NOT for a regular Standard dachshund, even if you think your dog is very long. Please check the weight (12 kg / 26 lbs and up, up to approx. 15 kg). This size is for rare, very large dachshunds, mostly used for hunting.

What S, M and L mean

Sfor tender and slim dachshunds. Mostly female and juvenile dachshunds fit this size.

Mfor the average dachshund. This size is generally the most common. If your dachshund is in a fit and normal shape, this is for him or her.

Lfor a stronger physique. Some dachshunds have a stronger developed chest and shoulder area. Some have a bit more of a belly or are maybe pregnant.

Back length: optional check

*Measure with your dog standing on all four paws, from the lower edge of the collar (neck point) to the base of the tail. All back lengths are approximate; the number in the size name is a rough guide.

**Tweenies sit between Miniature and Standard. In the US 'Tweenie' is used for a Miniature and Standard cross, but sometimes a Miniature simply turns out a bit longer, or a Standard a bit shorter than average.

Adjustable fit

Chest and belly straps close with velcro. Depending on the coat size they can be adjusted by 3–5 cm on the chest and 5–8 cm on the belly.
