Soft greys with a bright red tartan: understated from afar, a splash of colour up close.

Italian wool blend, produced especially for us in Italy and bonded with an inner layer that feels like neoprene
Feather-light: depending on the size only around 180–200 grams, so your dachshund barely feels it, yet it keeps them warm
On and off in seconds: no snaps or zips, just velcro
Cut for the dachshund body, covering the long back right down to the tail
Velcro straps at chest and belly: adjust the fit, for example if your dachshund's weight changes over the winter
Tip: need a little more length? Simply close the chest strap a little looser

Chic, and so light that even a dachshund who isn't usually a fan of coats will most likely not mind this one, because he hardly notices it.

Care

Preferably hand wash or maximum 30 degrees in the washing machine. No fabric softener, no dryer. After washing, pull into shape and dry lying down.

We size by dachshund type and weight, not by tape measure. Measuring a wriggly dachshund is surprisingly tricky, and in our experience that's where most sizing mistakes happen. Type and weight are far more reliable.

48 XL is NOT for a regular Standard dachshund, even if you think your dog is very long. Please check the weight (12 kg / 26 lbs and up, up to approx. 15 kg). This size is for rare, very large dachshunds, mostly used for hunting.

What S, M and L mean

Sfor tender and slim dachshunds. Mostly female and juvenile dachshunds fit this size.

Mfor the average dachshund. This size is generally the most common. If your dachshund is in a fit and normal shape, this is for him or her.

Lfor a stronger physique. Some dachshunds have a stronger developed chest and shoulder area. Some have a bit more of a belly or are maybe pregnant.

Back length: optional check

*Measure with your dog standing on all four paws, from the lower edge of the collar (neck point) to the base of the tail. All back lengths are approximate; the number in the size name is a rough guide.

**Tweenies sit between Miniature and Standard. In the US 'Tweenie' is used for a Miniature and Standard cross, but sometimes a Miniature simply turns out a bit longer, or a Standard a bit shorter than average.

Adjustable fit

Chest and belly straps close with velcro. Depending on the coat size they can be adjusted by 3–5 cm on the chest and 5–8 cm on the belly.
